Lit Lids®, home of the Birthday Beer®, was created to change the way we give gifts and celebrate birthdays. Let's face it, Birthdays and Drinks were practically made for each other. Our Lids fit almost all beverage containers: from your witty boyfriends IPA pint to your wife's glass of Rose to your mother in-law's bottle of Pinot Grigio to your uncle Dale's diet soda can.

Have you ever forgot a present for someones birthday but decided a bottle of wine, beer or pint will suffice? Me too! Lots of times actually! That's why I created Lit Lids®. I'm practical yet want to feel fancy. Ya know?

OUR STORY

Hi, I'm Jason, founder and chief celebration officer (and this is my family above). The idea was sparked in my early twenties when I was working at a brewery in a small ski town in Colorado and saw the bartender light a candle, melt the wax onto the center of a coaster and stick the lit candle in the wax💡. I thought "why hasn't anyone developed a candle to put on beer?"...so I let that idea marinate for a few years, until... 

I mentioned the idea to my good friend Winslow and he started taking a crack at the design (because he's a pro). We prototyped and tweaked the design for too many years to count...grew our families by 4 kids (2 each), lived through a pandemic, I ran another successful business for 8 years and now, FINALLY, I've granted myself the time to launch this passion project and bring this product to life.
